Kevin Hall
Founder and director of Halls Travel and Training, Kevin Hall has been driving professionally for over 40 years. His career began in the British Army in 1976 where he soon passed his driving test and began driving military vehicles such as armoured and tracked vehicles. Upon leaving the military Kevin added Class 1 LGV and PCV coaches to his driving qualifications followed by becoming a vocational driving instructor for Cleveland Transit.
In 1997 he joined Cleveland Police Driver Training unit, where he added to his driving portfolio and became a DVSA delegated driving examiner. In his years in the Police, Kevin has honed his skills as an advanced driving trainer and DVSA grade A - ADI, whilst also becoming certified in tactical pursuit and containment and VIP national protection driving.
Kevin began Halls Travel and Training in 2016 with a passion for driving and a desire to provide excellent service to his local and wider community.
Ray Cawley
Ray Cawley is co-owner of Halls Travel and Training and has over 35 years of professional driving experience. In 1982, Ray joined the British Army, passing his driving test in a Landover and advancing onto HGV3 which allowed him to drive troop carriers and various other military vehicles including armoured, tracked and staff vehicles. He later went on to complete his LGV and 3 years later started to instruct others into obtaining their licenses.
Upon leaving the British Army, Ray worked as an tanker driver whilst also adding a JCB license to his driving qualifications during this time. In 1990, Ray began a career in Cleveland Police. As a driver in the force, he gained experience in driving a variety of vehicles including prison vehicles, recovery trucks and staff cars. In 2016 Ray started driving and instructing for Halls Travel and Training.
Upon retiring from Cleveland Police after 32 years of service Ray partnered with Kevin in Halls Travel and Training and the duo now run a successful business together. Ray is passionate about driver training and has a desire to provide high quality service and teaching to all of his students.


Mark Dickinson
Head driver, Mark Dickinson started his career as a delivery driver in 1991 before moving onto driving private hire vehicles in the north east of England. Mark later took a position driving for the Financial times in London.
In 1995, Mark began the role of executive driver in Cleveland Police which saw him transporting prisoners and driving recovery vehicles before transitioning to the role of public enquiry officer for the force.
Mark has been a valued member of the Halls Travel and Training team since 2019, he enjoys meeting and chatting with new clients and visiting new places while he’s transporting passengers to their destination.
